Jay Campbell '97 named executive director of the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy

Jack W. (Jay) Campbell IV '97 is executive director of the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, a state organization that exists to protect public health and safety.

Campbell, who was selected after a national search, is a native of Sanford, North Carolina, and a 1993 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. Before entering Vanderbilt Law School, he worked in pharmaceutical research and in community pharmacy. After earning his law degree, he clerked for The Honorable Bruce Selya on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and then practiced law with Jones Day in Washington, D.C. and with Helms Mulliss & Wicker in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the Wingate University School of Pharmacy.
